Brain Injuries
An acquired brain injury (ABI) is any injury to the brain that happens after birth. This includes injuries caused by a stroke, infection, tumour, or lack of oxygen. A traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a type of acquired brain injury that results from a blow or sudden jolt to the head - such as in a fall, car accident, or sports injury. In other words, all traumatic brain injuries are acquired, but not all acquired brain injuries are traumatic.
At Neuro Physio East, we work with people recovering from both types of brain injury, helping them regain movement, independence, and confidence through personalised physiotherapy at home.
